KinderConcerts is an Edinburgh-based concerts series, which was set up in January 2012 by Iris Fleckenstein-Seifert and Anna Neubert-Wood, initially for a small circle of friends, in a private front room in New Town, Edinburgh. It has become very popular over the years and has grown in numbers and interest from all over and out with Edinburgh.
KinderConcerts are designed as a gentle introduction to classical and traditional music for your child in a friendly environment, giving them a taste of different instruments. KinderConcerts is a concert series designed for children aged 4-10 (younger siblings very welcome!). Your child might want to take up an instrument and would like to see different options in action, played by professional musicians, or you'd like to broaden your children's musical horizon?
Then look no further - KinderConcerts is the place to be!
Our ConcertsA typical KinderConcert is 30-45 minutes of performance and interactive games and songs exploring the instrument, followed by a Q&A session with the musician. After the KinderConcert there is an opportunity to mingle, meet like-minded people and families, chat to the musician and try out the instruments. We also offer tea, coffee and biscuits in an informal setting.
